During the June 16, 2009, budget committee meeting, the City Council was presented with information pertaining to proposed utility rate increases for the coming fiscal year and future years. Here are PDF files of the documents from that meeting. The operating statements list planned capital improvements to the infrastructure of these utilities that will be funded over the next five years.

Utility rate comparisons (950 KB) between the current fiscal year and next year, between Tulsa and seven surrounding municipalities, and between Tulsa and seven comparably-sized cities in the region. With the proposed increases, an average usage household (7,000 gal. of water per month) would see the overall city utility bill increase by $2.77 a month an overall increase of 4.4%. Combined water and sewer bills for Tulsans at the new rates are slightly below the average for both sets of comparison cities.

Stormwater utility operating statement (45 KB) for the next five years, based on projected rate increases of 3% in FY2009-10,  5% in FY2010-11, 3% in FY2011-12, no increase in FY2012-13, and 2% in FY2013-14.

Water utility operating statement (820 KB) for the next five years, based on projected rate increases of 3% in FY2009-10 and 5% for each of the following four years.

Sewer (wastewater) utility operating statement (1.35 MB) for the next five years, based on projected rate increases of 10% in FY2009-10 and 7% for each of the following four years.
